Walking in Versace as Dangerous as Walking in Alexander McQueen

  • Towering Stiletto
As I've written a blogspot before, the Armadillo heels from Alexander McQueen is one of those heels that many model fear wearing and walking it down the runway.

Natasha Poly was one of those models that pulled themselves out of Alexander McQueen's Spring Summer 2010 show when required to wear the Armadillo heels (above).

The shoe has a 7-inch heel (just the heel) and it is 12-inches tall when measured up to the top of the shoe. It has a platform of around 3 to 4 inches. That's very high.

But there was another designer that sent models walking down the runway also in extremely high heels the same season, which was Versace! When I think of Versace, I think of mind-blowing high heels, but for Spring Summer 2010, Donatella Versace went for a little higher heels.

One of those heels is the medallion heels which Jenna Jameson wore to the MTV VMA's earlier this year. This pair costs around US$1,725. Ciara wore a pair of these too at Maxim’s party in Los Angeles.

Here are some more heels that she designed that season. Basically, these are ALL the heels that were seen on the runway.

Colourful platforms sandals =D The top 2 and the blue-purple-black one have some snakeskin detail on it.

Interesting platform pumps in polka dots and interesting prints. The last one in the shiny detail, Ciara wore that to the “Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Style Issue Event” in LA.

Ankle boots in flowery prints. Love the stitching detail, very Fendi-ish. Ciara was also seen wearing the one in yellow.

But I think I would prefer this. It looks a little more neat and less striking.

Well, I kinda doubt that you would be able to find one of these heels for sale online, but I manage to find something similar, from Versace too!

This is the Dvea platform patent leather pumps, from Versace. It stands at 7-inches high and has a 3 inches double platform. You can get this from Net-a-Porter as it's still available at £720.

This is also available on Net-a-Porter. This metal-heeled ankle boots would turn many heads and attracts much attention as the heel is in shiny metal. This one's slightly shorter at 6.5 inches high and has a 2.5 inches platform, retailing at £903.

For the best part of the post...

Boots! Love the one in orange snakeskin. If I'm not wrong, it costs around US$3,000+. And again if I'm not wrong, these 2 boots has a heel of 8-inches!

So you see, the Alexander McQueen heels might look very dangerous but its shape just makes it look dangerous, and wearing these Versace heels are as dangerous as those McQueens.

If only I had the money, I would definitely get a pair of these Versace heels, as a collection.
