- I found a solution!
HOW TO FRICKIN' REMOVE THIS SICK SWEETIM FROM YOUR COMPUTER.Ok basically some of you have tried uninstalling from your control panel and everything and still when you type to search something in your browser, IT'S STILL THE FRICKIN' SWEETIM.
If you haven't, well you can start by doing this :
1.START
2.Control Panel
3.Programs
4.Uninstall a Program
5.Click on ANYTHING that has SWEETIM on it and then click uninstall.
There, you're done with SweetIM bothering you on your MSN Messenger.
And now the part where you COMPLETELY get it off as your browser search engine.
If you haven't, well you can start by doing this :

4.Uninstall a Program
5.Click on ANYTHING that has SWEETIM on it and then click uninstall.
There, you're done with SweetIM bothering you on your MSN Messenger.
And now the part where you COMPLETELY get it off as your browser search engine.
Oh this is for Firefox users, as I'm using Firefox.In the URL box, type in about:config and then click on "I'll be careful, I promise" (that's just cute).
Then at the top there's a "Filter" box, type in there keyword.URL.
There would only be one keyword thingy there. Right-click on it, and click on Reset.
And there you go! You're a free man/woman!!! :D
I hope this really helps y'all as I have been DYING to get SweetIM OFF my computer and I finally manage to do it a few hours ago.
Oh just for some happy ending.

For Chrome:
Go to options, then the 'Search' sub-section on the 'Basics' page
Click 'Manage Search Engines' and then X that mofo off on the right side.
Then close, switch to Google in the dropdown menu and breathe a heavy sigh of relief that your pain is over.

Thank you for the solution. I have been wondering why it still shows up as a search engine when it has been uninstalled and does not show up in firefox manage search engines tab.

Ok so ive done everything to remove sweetim from my Firefox browser and nothing is working. Ive uninstalled it in program files and in tools- ad ons . I am now fed up. Sweetim should be classified as bloody malware.
Anonymous : Even their SweetIM icon is a bloody pic lol. So yeah, sorry I'm not a very tech savvy person >< The above instructions were how I managed to get it off. You could google and different ways of removing are everywhere. Goodluck! :)

Thanks a lot ,I was getting mad .The sweetIM conceptors should be punished .
So I have already followed the steps you posted to remove this sweetim crap. When I do a scan I still 2 sweetim's that I am unable to remove. It says I do not have "administrator" rights and to log onas the administrator and I am the administrator...any advice???
I know, those files are annoying. You know what the files you can't delete are there for? Watching what you are doing on your computer. Pretty angering, huh?
